The die was cast.  The irresistible had happened.  To save an innocent woman from mutiltion Maciste had signed his own fate.  He was their prisoner.  He had clasped that slave collar around his own neck.  Done the shameful deed himself.  In the eyes of this enemy general, he was captive.  He was a slave of the empire.

But only if he gave up hope ……..
