A welcoming

Hours on display along the river  ..  his capture being advertised  ..  his defeat held up for public display.  To dismay the river tribes.  To put Tarzan to shame.
Numerous times in villages  ..  a chief beaten before his eyes  ..  payback for running with Tarzan  ..  punishment for joining forces with him  ..  standing up to the Panther-king.  Tarzan made to hear men cry out in pain   ..  because of him.
With every powerful thrust of the paddles in the river getting closer.  Knowing what was waiting for him when he arrived.
Little wonder his nerves were on edge.
Fearing the welcome he’d receive  ….
