well-meant advice

Budo had been great.  WHAT he had to say was scary.  But at least Ka-Lan knew what to expect.
HOW he said it was amazing  ..  his calmness  ..  his acceptance  ..  unconcerned.
But this was it  ..  the day Ka-Lan had been briefed on  ..  viewing.

Ka-Lan just had to decide how HE was going to take it
